Happy New Year to all the furry friends. Thanks for all the wonderful presents and cards from Santa and our furry friends (Chef, Mango, Dou-Dou, & Emma-Lise). Our family did 2 videos on us playing with the presents that we received. Please be sure to watch the one I played with Miss Piggy.

More important, thank you so much for my sweet human friends (Donna, James, Karla & Yvonne) got me lots of Miss Piggy Squeaky Toy. Miss Piggy and I are BFF. I spend more time with Miss Piggy than my big sister Emma. I carry Miss Piggy everywhere I go. When I first wake up every morning, I find Miss Piggy and put in my mouth first. When I ready to go to bed, I make sure I have Miss Piggy in my mouth by my side and bring my little Miss Piggy to bed with me. Emma sometimes takes Miss Piggy from me if I don't play with Emma.

We went to our first Christmas pawty on Thursday Dec 17th, 2009. It was cold and rainy. Santa was there to visit all furry friends, and all the pawty animals dressed in Christmas style filled with holiday spirits. Hope you enjoy the slides show of our furry Christmas pawty.

It is the time of the year again, our family took us to Katy Mills Mall taking photo with Santa yesterday. It was a long line as lots of children also wanted to take pictures with Santa Clause and tell Santa what they want for Christmas this year. Some little children were afraid the Jolly St. Nick. I remember I was scared of him last year too. However, I am a big girl now; when it was our turn , my big sister Emma kept looking and making funny noisy to Santa like she was asking what presents for Christmas from Santa, too (lol!!!).

P.S.> Furry friends living outside USA that had provided their mailing address should get Christmas presents between next week or following week. So, be sure to have your family check mail. For furry friends living in USA and had provided your mailing address, our family always send presents on Angel Perry's, our patriarch, birthday Dec 13th. Since Perry's birthday is on Sunday this year, it will be given away or mail out on Dec 11th and Dec 14th.

Our family and friends see us going pawty and dinning under the sun. We are often asked what we do at home. We love to play with puppets: all kinds of puppets. We love it so much that our family always keeps an eye out to buy new Puppet for us to play with. Our family added a new puppet to our collection last week, Ms. Sheep Puppet who sings "The Lonely Goatherd from the Sound of Music". We also have Pets.com Sock Puppet Dog, my mommy calls him Mr. Johnny Appleseed and Mr. Bite-Meez by Just Bepaws. Emmy and I do a good job biting them good. Hopefully, we will get to play with the famous Muppets in Sesame Street soon.

Hawl-O-Ween 2009

Happy Hawl-O-Ween to all my furry friends. This is our first Halloween, we were invited to a costume Hawl-O-Ween pawty at Sasha's Suds N' Duds. The place was full of pawty animals. My big sister (Emma) and I (Emmy) wouldn't pass up this fun and were dressed up as Tinkerbell. All furry friends wore costumes: Sasha was Snow White, Levi was prince charming, his sister, Molly was Cinderella and Stewart was the ugly stepsister. We also had three little sun flowers, cheerleader, girls in poodle dresses, superman, french maid and many more. It was a blast, our family had so much fun. We are looking forward to attend the Christmas pawty and play with our friends again.

We were invited to Puppy Levi Pawty at Sashas Suds N Duds to celebrate his adoption by his mommy, Cheri, few weeks ago. We had lots of fun with all the pawty animals. After played, all pawty animals had tasty doggie cake. Levi mommy gave us doggie treats to take home, too.

Puppy Levi is the first photo shown at the above slides show. We will see him and his family at the Halloween Pawty at Sashas Suds N Duds next month again. There will be best doggie Halloween costume contest at Sashas Suds N Duds.

Emmy and I received the coolest birthday presents from our four paws BFF, Vodka. Vodka got us an elegant black velvet dresses and rope toys. The beautiful black velvet dresses are decorated with rhinestones and lace patterns. We wear the dresses with matching color black dog show bows made by our Godmother, Cheryll. The dresses transform us into princesses. We played with our new pink and blue rope toys all evening today.

Our BIG 1 year old birthday finally arrives today. Yippee!!! This is our special birthday cake. We receive our first birthday presents from our human friend, Yvonne. She bought us a neem oil pet wash soap for our birthday. The soap is made in Australia and she brought it all the way back to US. We feel so special and LOVED by our human friend. <3 <3 <3

Broadway Musical and us

We went to see a Broadway musical 42nd street on Monday July 12th 09 at Miller Outdoor Theatre. The show started at 8:15pm at night. Therefore, the weather was very comfortable for everyone.

This Tony® Award winning musical tells the fairytale story of an aspiring chorus girl and her journey to find love and success on the Great White Way. 42nd STREET transported the audience back to the glamour, spectacle and fashion of the 1930's. We enjoyed so much and still had time to greet and play with others after the Broadway show ended.

There is also an updated video on us. We were playing with our new toy. Mommy says our new toy looks like a rat. It scared Mommy so bad when we left it under the couch; but we like it.

Houston Symphony

We went to Miller Outdoor Theatre listened to Houston Symphony last weekend. There were LOTS of people and families enjoyed the beautiful music played by the musicians. The conductor was Josep Caballe-Domenech.

We listened to many masterpieces include: Tchaikovsky's Francesca da Rimini, Opus 32; Korngold's Cello Concerto in C major, Opus 3; Bruch's Kol Nidrei, Adagio on Hebrew Melodies for Cello and Orchestra, Opus 47; and Shostakovich's Symphony No. 9 in E-flat major, Opus 7.

Breakfast at La Madeline

My family took us to La Madeline for breakfast last Saturday morning. The early morning weather was so comfortable to had outdoor breakfast. As soon as we got off the car, Emmy and I smell the tasty bacon and sausage in the air.

We had boiled eggs for breakfast same as every morning at home. We tasted fresh-baked croissant also. We LOVED it. The croissant was yummy.

There were two other families brought their four-paws friends to breakfast, too.

Memorial week

We went to an outdoor premium outlet mall shopping with our family during memorial weekend. It was great as there were LOTS of people. However, we did not able to buy anything for ourselves. Liz Claiborne used to sell doggie apparel in their store. Apparently, they do not have it any longer.

We took a lot of pictures this weekend as my family going to submit our picture to a dog company. Puppia is looking for pooches pictures for the upcoming catalog. We had submitted the above picture that we wore Puppia Hole In One dresses today. We are keeping our finger cross that our picture will be selected.

Japanese Festival

We went to Japanese festival at Herman Park few weeks ago. There were lots of people and POOCHES in the park. There were Japanese games, food, photo studio, shopping, and traditional green tea ceremony in Japanese garden for general public to have weekend fun with their family.

There were LOTS of people took pictures on us. As usual, my social butterfly big sister, Emma, enjoyed socializing with people when I was hiding in our stroller to avoid these people. We stayed there about an hour and left when the japanese guy started playing a huge Japanese drum.

To most of our friends, would you please let us know your BARKday (date & month), weight, neck & chest measurement. For sure, we know Vodka BARKday as we were born in the same month. We also know My Adorable Shih Tzus BARKdays. It will help us a lot when getting stuff for our online BFF.

Fun Weekend

We had so much fun this weekend. We went shopping and outdoor fine dinning.

On late Saturday, we went shopping for bathroom stuffs as our family gonna to remodel another bathroom upstairs into our restroom. It has been raining cats & dogs since Friday, we did not have chance go shopping until late Saturday evening. Our family finally found a royal blue top to match Emma's royal blue dog show bow.

Today, we went shopping again for one of our Tzu friends for their upcoming birthdays. One Tzu birthday will be by the end of May and the another Tzu has his birthday just a few days later at the beginning of June. We also bought 2 fishes for our human friend, Liz, as her Beta fish went to heaven few months ago.

Although we never have chanced to meet him (as we were born 4 months later), we still know him well as his poster size photos are all around the house.

News. We are educated puppies now.
We received our graduation certificate on 2/3/09 (Tuesday).
Our family was so happy for us. Now that we passed kindergarten.
We still have elementary, middle school, jr & sr high school, college, master, and doctor’s degrees need to achieve. LOL!!!

My mommy sewed 2 Valentine dresses for us.
We put on the pink polka dot dog bows made by our Godmother, Cheryll (our breeder), and dressed up before we headed out to celebrate our first Valentine’s Day with our family.

Lost Puppy Teeth Update

Hello our BFF furry pals,

Happy Chinese New Year to all of you and your family, too.

My mom made Chinese jacket for us to celebrate Chinese New Year with our family. We worn the dog show bows made by our breeder, Cheryll. To my fairy godmother Cheryll, thank you so much for the bows. Your handmade bows, mommy handmade Chinese jacket, and our black & white Chinese girl faces made everyone in our family gave us 4 paws up. We earned red envelope (aka: lucky money) and ate red eggs tonight to celebrate the occasion.

We are going to participate our first Chinese New Year events this Saturday. There are outdoor activities at the Chinese Culture Center (between 10:00am to 4:00pm) and also at the Chinese Newspaper Building located close (almost opposite) to HONG KONG Market at Bellaire. My family will bring us to both places in the morning this weekend as it is more easier to find parking space. Mango, be sure to tell your family bring you to have outdoor fun if they can.

This is an update from baby Emmy. I am serious disappointed with my family continue refusing to put the mystery puppy tooth in my pink container. Come on what can I do to make them give me the tooth so Tooth Fairy will come to visit me again? My family found another lost puppy tooth, and big sister Emma lost 2 more puppy tooth. As of today, I still have 2 puppy tooth in my pink container, Emma has 4 now, and there are 2 mystery tooth.

We have a mystery lost tooth. Here is the sequence of the events and may be one of you out there is able to solve the mystery lost tooth for my family.

I am baby Emmy, I lost my 2nd puppy tooth while my family typed an email to Elmo's mom asking about how he was doing on Thursday night (2/15). On Friday afternoon (2/16), my family came home from work and had lunch with us as usual. During the hour lunch, my family saw a puppy tooth on the wood floor. They still can't find out the tooth belongs to which of us.

Half hour ago, my big sister Emma lost another 2 teeth while she was playing floppy with me and my family. As of today, Emma lost 3 teeth, and I lost 2 teeth. If my family put that mystery tooth in my container, it will make us even. It is very disappointing to tell you that they refuse to do so.

They decided to put the mystery tooth into a separate container until they figure out it belongs to whom. They said when it was Perry, it was not needed to think at all. He was the only kid at home. If they found lost canine tooth, it must be from Mr. Perry. Now, there are 2 black & white Tzu so my family can't figure out as easily as before.

BTW - My mom took a new video of me get physical on the doggie treadmill. My big sister still can't jog on the treadmill as she is a bit of afraid. She is so fear that her legs freeze when she is on the doggie treadmill. My family does not want her to get afraid of it. Therefore, they let her takes her time and hopefully when her heart is ready she will start exercising on the doggie treadmill also.

12/10/08 (Wednesday) - Puppies First Snow Day

Hello Mango, Did U see the snow falling down? OMG, this was the first time we saw snow falling from the sky. It was great as it rarely snow in Texas. My family dressed us up warmly before letting us went outside and took our first snowy night pictures.

12/25/08 (Thurs) - Puppies First Christmas

SANTA came and dropped off presents for us. We received Santa Duck, Floppy, Squeaker Rabbit, and cookies from Santa. Mimi came and had lunch with my family. She was so nice and gave us Christmas presents. We got Eukanuba natural dry food and Train-Me Training Reward Treats from Mimi. Mommy sew and gave us matching pink coats for Christmas.

12/26/08 (Fri) - Emmy lost first puppy tooth on Boxing Day

How mom caught and saved my first tooth? I was came out from downstairs restroom after tinkle, and walked to my mom. Mommy heard something dropped on the wood floor while I was walking toward to her. So, she came and check on me to see what was dropped on the ground as she did not want me to swallow something unsafe. There she found my puppy tooth. Mommy was jumping with joy when she caught my tooth and gave me big kisses. The next day mommy found a treat under my bed and said Tooth Fairy gave me a treat for my lost tooth.

12/31/08 (Wed) - Emma lost first puppy tooth on New Year's Eve

My mommy caught me lost my tooth in action. I was walking to the sofa after drank & ate some snacks. All of the sudden, my tooth falling down from my mouth to the wood floor. My mom was walking with me and she caught it fell off. She was jumping with joy like won the LOTTO. She found 2 containers to separate my baby sister and my puppy tooth. I was so happy that I got a treat from Tooth Fairy as I did not get one when Tooth Fairy visited my baby sister.

1/6/08 (Tues) - Our school started.

We are taking Basic Obedience Class for the OT competition. It is a 6 weeks class before we move up to the next level Introduction to Obedience Competition. Unlike Confirmation competition, my family is not familiar with the OT competition. Therefore, my family found an experienced OT teacher, Judy Ramsey, to teach them & us.

Our teacher, Judy, has 26 years of experience on AKC agility, obedience, & rally competitions. Her pooches had AKC OTCH (Obedience Trail Champion) titles, and one of her dog was the winner of 2001 World Dog Series Agility and Obedience Competition in Detroit.

The OT competition is highly rely on the dog owner and the dog team work. The teacher just teaches the skills. The dog owner is the main person really needed to have close teamwork relationship with his/her furry kid.

We like the school so much as it is very roomy. The place is an indoor opened field 5000 sq ft facility. So every pooches have enough personally space.

OMG...we met Santa, and he is REAL. My big sister, Emma, was "FREEZE" when she met him. I was so happy, and Santa said my picture with him was so pretty.

This is our first topknot before we left home to visit Grandma, Kelley, Yvonne, & Jesse on Tuesday evening. We had our topknot being done, used the downstairs restroom, and wore the winter harnesses to keep us warm before leaving home.

We had so much fun running around and investigating new territory. We were spoiled and being praised that we were well manner kids repeatedly. When we got home, we were so exhausted and went straight to our bed and slept.

We arrived to our new home on 11/13/08. We have been keeping our new family very busy before and after our arrival. They were busy to get the house ready before our arrival. They are still busy after our arrival as we LOVE whining and crying, like babies. We don't bark. We just keep whining and crying until we get our way. One started whining and crying, surely the other one joins in the choir.

We like to wake up every few hours so everyone in our family is SUPER sleepy. We wake up at 12:00 AM, 2:00 AM, 5:00 AM. Our family looking forward we grow older so we sleep longer at night. LOL!!!!

We went to see Dr. Young after arrival. Dr. Young gave 2 thumbs up on our physical exam. He is very pleased that we are strong, healthy, and happy puppies. My baby sister, Emmy, weight 5lb 5oz. I, Emma, weight 5lb 2oz.

We have lots of rawhides for our teething, many stuff animals for us to play, and 9 dog beds just for 2 of us. My family worry we have no bed to sleep after peep peep incident in our beds. Therefore, they bought 9 beds for us. When 2 beds are being washed and 2 are being air dried, we have 2 ready to use and 3 extra just in case if needed.

We eat breakfast at 5:00 AM. Adults come home and have lunch with us everyday at 11:30 AM. Then, we have dinner at 6:00 PM. We have snacks and fresh water for us to eat & drink while adults are at work. They say we are kids and must have food & water 24/7. My family concurred my baby sister, Emmy, has Texas size body and Texan appetite. They said I am a piggy eater. I loved snacks more than my meals.

We are still in potty training, and learning to ride our car. Each of us has a doggie booster seat so that we can see outside while riding the car. We are doing fine when riding short distance. If we are riding more than couple of blocks, we started whining and crying in the car.

As some of you might have noticed, my blog's title and profile have changed. My baby sister, Emmy, has been added to the title also. The description changed it from "Lion Puppy Tales" to "Tales of 2 Tzu Puppies."

My family decided to adopt my baby sister, Emmy, as we are inseparable. Not only we are the solely black & white puppies in the litter, but my baby sister is almost always by my side (see above pics). My breeder, Cheryll, agreed that it is fate that we are together. My family is convinced that Emmy is my partner in crime like the infamous ladies"Thelma & Louise". LOL!!!!!

My name is Emma. I am a black & white Shih Tzu puppy and was born on 8/1/08.

I was born C-Section. After popping out 1 puppy, my mom had difficult time giving birth to the rest of the puppies and me due to a condition of uterine inertia. It is also called "stalled labor", where the vaginal canal is favorable for birth, but for some reason contractions have ceased, or stopped. The vet ended up shaving Mommy and had C-Sectioned to deliver the rest of the litter and me safely.
